Heavens to Murgatroyd!! How did that sneak up on me! John, ask Lin to break out the coffe pot. We'll bring the beer. We will drive up to Winfield on Friday in time for the Great Plains Dulcimer Alliance picnic on Saturday. We will be splitting time between the fair grounds and visiting relatives out on the farm, as usual. I expect to be drafted to cook for Main Street Association's fund raiser Wednesday next week, though no one has said anything yet.

Several of our favorites are booked to play Winfield this year. Top of the list is The Greencards, who are returning after a one year absence. The Greencards on Stage II on Saturday night – joined by other star performers as the evening progresses – is a much fun as you can have in Winfield, Kansas with your clothes on. The Quebe Sisters Band's brand of Western Swing should not be missed. They are our neighbors from North Texas and we've listened to them since they started performing. Téada is one of our favourite Irish bands.   We saw them a couple weeks ago at the Milwaukee Irish Festival and they put on a great show. Of course Winfield being Winfield, some of the best music will be in the campgrounds.
