Hello to Belle - who listed the words to 'Rat River Trapper' that I am familiar with. That scratchy old lp you mentioned was probably the one put out by Tommy Banks and the Edmonton Symphony along with some great Canadian talent for the 1973 RCMP Centennial. I was able to get a copy from the CBC archives, along with several other really great tunes relating to the RCMP and the settling of our Canadian West and North. Too bad these tunes were not circulated more. We have some great stories to tell here in Canada, and we don't promote them enough. That's all I have to offer. If you are interested in the music, I'm sure the CBC Archives would be helpful.
