        Andy is a soulful & technically outstanding player, warm, joyful & emotive, almost reinventing his instrument. He is a superb accompanist & sensitive musical partner. He has written many fine tunes which have become classics. Grounded in the English tradition & influenced by the French & Quebecois, he has played with Blowzabella, Chris Wood, Kate Rusby, John McCusker, Martin Simpson, June Tabor, Sting, & even The Who.
        We will start the workshop with basic tune (English session tunes) playing and gradually introduce more advanced techniques on both the right and left hands. We will also look at some exercises to improve your bass end playing.
