Thread Name: What happened to broadsidemagazine.com?
Subject: RE: Broadside - the magazine
God that's a coincidence - I was just up in the attic clearing stuff up, and I found an ancient ancient copy of Broadside from back in the '60s. Blotchy printing ion a duplicator that had seen better days. Songs by Dylan and Phil Ochs and others.

And it also included one by me, "I've got a Secret", about a secret government nuclear fallout shelter - no name with it, because I was a bit worried they could get me, since technically it was in breach of the British Official Secrets Act, so I'd had it left off the copies they ran off during the Aldermaston March, and Broadside had got a copy of it from somewhere.

And the funny thing is that only a couple of weeks ago I went on a day trip to one of these underground Regional Seats of Government, a few miles from where I live. It is now a tourist attraction, with signs all around the district saying "this way to the Secret Nuclear Fallout Shelter". And it's the strangest place in the world. They sold it back to the farmer whose place it had been built on, and it's like something out of Dr Who.

Some things do change for the better.
