Over the years many of us were told that there is a policy about long cut and paste entries - they are frowned upon. I started an "I read it in the newspaper" thread for posts and made sure I put a short portion and a link to the rest, if I thought it was a durable link. If your long news cut-and-paste is applied to a non-music thread and fills more than one screen then it is in danger of being trimmed or deleted. (My original thread was closed because spammers kept hitting it, but I have a new one, for interesting tidbits, and during the last election Amos started ONE THREAD where he posted all of his political remarks. Think about it - keep in in one location, not spread all over. Save yourselves work. The Obama haters might do well to distill it into one thread the rest of us can ignore, rather than paving the forum with many iterations of "a few of us knuckle-draggers hate Obama" threads.

So if these long things disappear, don't be surprised.
