If this is true it is appalling - it means we have a police force in Britain which will allow itself to be manipulated by political pressure groups - if I believed it to be true I wouldn't sleep a wink at night.
This is a body with the power of arrest, stop and search, which is trusted above the word of the rest of us, can enter our homes and which has been found in the past to tamper with evidence in order to make their case, and in some cases can carry weapons and has been known to against innocent until proven guilty ordinary citizens.
