My abiding memory of Andy Williams for what it's worth, is travelling through Sparkhill Birmingham in the late 60's, on the No 8 bus on a rainy windy evening, we stopped for 5 minutes at a rest stop for the driver, next to a semi detatched. Through the net curtains I saw my first colour TV picture, it was The Andy Williams show, on the screen was Mr Wiliams, in a bright yellow jacket against a sky blue background, I was transfixed! I have to admit that was the only real reason I started watching his shows. I can remember The Osmonds first appearance as young boys among many others. Ah well may he rest in showbiz peace
