"Geneology rather than Genealogy drives me ******* loopy"


I lose it with the misuse of its and it's. Years ago I saw on a teacher's classroom door a poster for a children's book the title of which was 'A Ferret in it's Garden' (not exact, but close). I asked the teacher if there was something wrong with that and s/he replied "No. Ferret is spelled correctly." The solution as to how to avoid the error would put many proofreaders out of work, so I won't post it here.
