For a quick look, you might check at the nearest couple of souvenir shops. If you don't find one just like it, or one similar enough to tell you what kind of thing it is by the time you've checked a couple or three shops, then it might be worth consulting a dealer for an expert opinion.

For the recollection that yours is a "found treasure" the monetary - or even the historical - value may not be worth much more to you than the simple fact that you found it where you didn't expect it.

When you can't remember and treasure the memories of the little things life gives you, it all gets pretty flat and boring.
