I head this song circa 1960 on Wayne Raney's WCKY Jamboree. I don't know who sang it, and all I remember is the chorus:

Work, work, work-work-work.
Seems like that's all I do.
Work, work, work-work-work,
It's rough, I'm telling you,
And it seems to me the more I work,
The poorer I become.
If I keep on working hard
Some day I'll be a bum.
