I've been looking for years (sorry for leaping on to the tails of this discussion) for a song in a story by Alastair McLeod:

Is ann ar chul na mbeanntain ard/Ata teach chonaithe mo ghra/Fear a bhfuil a chroi i mblath...

(It's there at the foot of the high mountains/is the dwelling-place of my love/Man whose heart is in flower)

but apparently it's never been recorded and the tune's lost. Unless anyone here knows otherwise?
