Nothing personal against Mike Harding but I ceased listening some years back. The progarmme seemed to have a very strange idea of folk music and used the same old narrow range of "in" performers and ignoring so much else. I am pretty sure that the format has nothing to do with the front man and that whoever presents it will matter very little.
Personally I wouldn't bother wasting my time. Nobody will take any notice of your petition.
