Thread Name: Harmony songbook ideas?
Subject: Harmony songbook ideas?
My (grown-up) daughter is getting together with a few friends to do a bit of singing. They're delighted to discover how enjoyable it is, and to find that they can even manage two-part harmonies. They don't have a leader, just a basic piano player, and are floundering a bit when it comes to choice and arrangements of songs.

I'd like to find a book of songs (possibly for a Christmas present) with simple vocal arrangements in two or (at a push) three parts. Folk songs would be OK but they are also interested in any lightweight, popular songs that they could sing together with minimal or no accompaniment. Nothing too serious, nothing religious.

I know lots of harmony lines but now I find they're all in my head and not written down anywhere. I have masses of folk song books but, with the exception of the Copper Family songs, they're all in unison. We're in the UK, so a published book that's easily accessible here would be good. Or even an online resource.

Any ideas?
