Mike Harding was enthusiastic, maybe too much so but I am no expert on Folk on the radio - I prefer to make music rather than consume. Or dance, or steward at festvals, or make radio programmes Tues 7am-9 UK time - ie participate. But there is more scope for niche programmes than is catered for.
