Heard this arvo on ABC Classical FM that Louis Armstrong's famous song was first sung as 'I Can't Give You Anything But Love Lindy' as a tribute to Lindberg. In trying to track this down on the Web I came acroos references to the Lindy Hop, which formed the basis of jitterbug. I have no idea whether there is any connection with the aviator, but it is clear that, along with a small number of other pioneer flyers of the time, he was an immensely popular hero figure at that time.Regards, John
