After all something might happen that made them change their minds, or altered the situation.

It seems unlikely that anyone will do something in the last two weeks before an election that would alter my opinion of them, which is based on looking at their behavior and words over many years. Even if they were reported to have done something that would change my mind, two weeks wouldn't be enough time to determine if the reports were true.
