There are African American Republicans. Remember the RNC Chairman Michael Steele? He got ousted, and I'm guessing that, as seen in his recent appearances on MSNBC as a pundit, he was a little too reasonable for the current GOP.

But seriously, the GOP is the party of the privileged, or at least that's how many people see it these days. I think there are more white billionaires than African American billionaires.
