Just saw a sweet movie on Netflix: "Sweet Land".

Based on the short story ""A Gravestone Made of Wheat," by Will Weaver, it tells the story of a mail-order bride arriving in Minnesota from Germany in 1920, and her difficulty in integrating in the community.

It takes a little bit of suspension of disbelief for minor historical inaccuracies, and the presence of some familiar actors in unfamiliar roles/accents. Also, apparently if you speak German or Norwegian that's kind of a mess.
