Though this song is probably relevant throughout the entire year, not just during the Halloween season, it nevertheless comes to mind each year at the end of October, due to the scary nature of this character and the propensity of devilish creatures lurking about during this celebration. The Devil

Here's one more.

The Third Story Of The Sawmill by The Infected Termite Ensemble

In honor of the spirits that we recognize on this day, I thought you might be willing to give ear to one of the most frightening interludes of recorded audio that I've ever heard. It was captured 'live', as field recording. This recording is based on a 30" Mussehl & Westphal musical saw being bowed in its third harmonic octave.

When heard without the digital enhancement applied to this passage, via sound guru Phil Erb, the sound created in this demonstration is rather high pitched. It is, in fact, too high for many to consider it a pleasant listening experience. However, Phil's genius allowed him to discover and reveal what, most definitely, are the spirits within, enabling their true nature to be heard and felt by others. Without a doubt, this is evidence as to why some listeners find the exercising of this curious musical folk art such a truly disturbing experience.

WARNING!

Listen if you dare, but be forewarned, this is not something for the faint of heart. This is very, Very Real! This sound file was not digitally manipulated into existence via some sound studio. Phil merely digitally splayed what was acoustically played and recorded 'live'.

Many claim to be able to record otherworldly creatures dwelling among us via video, still images, and/or audio devices. There are lots of TV shows, with camera crews creeping through darkened rooms, hunting spirits, ghosts and things that go bump in the night. From what I've seen of these, it's just a bunch of bad acting, without any actual proof being offered to viewers.

I have no doubt, whatsoever, that what Phil actually documented in this recording is proof, beyond any shadow, as to the evidence of their existence. The existence of what? Call them what you will, spirits, ghosts, demons, but whatever you call them, know that, to pretend that they don't exist is a mistake.

It is said that the eyes are the windows to one's soul but know that, the ears are the pathway to one's heart. Know then, that what lurks within this anti-melodic sound file will chill your bones, make your blood run cold and set your heart to pounding!

Do not listen to this audio file while under the influence of excessive alcohol consumption, herbal and/or chemical inhalants, illegal narcotics and/or over the counter medications that might leave you in an altered state of awareness. Do not listen to this file alone! Should something untoward happen while listening to this file, dial 911 and seek immediate medical assistance!

By listening to this file you agree to hold the person who posted it blameless, regarding any hazardous and/or detrimental consequences which might arise as a result of your exposure to it.

So, you might ask, if exposure to this file could cause harm to those listening to it, why post this here? Why risk it? I post this file as proof that, though we may not be aware of the reality of their existence, in fact, these creatures do exist all around us. They are able to make themselves heard in ways that we are not yet able to fully comprehend.

Lest any of you imagine that I'm making this up, as some kind of Halloween trick or treat stunt. Know this. The shocking truth of the matter is, I am the one that Phil recorded! I, therefore, do solemnly swear as to the validity of the content of this sound file.

In closing, I would urge each and every one of you to tread lightly on your path through this life, so as not to disturb those spirits that live side by side with us in this journey.

This recording is dedicated to the digital sound artist that made this discovery, Phil Erb, who tragically took his life in early December of 2011.
