Some have commented that my town has an unusual amount of "public art" thanks to a few benefactors, but most of it is fairly permanent and done by "recognized artists," although some of does look more like "accidents by amateurs" to many of us.

For the most part, there's relatively little "unofficial art" (i.e. graffiti) although a drive past the railroad yard often finds some "impressive" (I won't say what impression) graffiti on many of the cars.
