Didn't really get a lot accomplished today. Not sure if my fatigue is because I'm coming down with something or because I was out of sorts yesterday (and probably overnight) because of low (low? how low?) level anxiety over the election (and the constant get-out-the-vote phone calls yesterday combined with getting up waaaaaay too early this morning. Tom had insisted on my leaving the radio on low tuned to NPR when I tucked him into bed downstairs. Not sure how much HE slept...but all the lights downstairs were on at 5 this morning (which used to be my usual wake up time, but not for several years) and they're visible in the upstairs bedroom (canister lights inset into downstairs ceiling/upstairs floor).

I DID do an incredible happy dance (after putting on shoes to clean up the wine glass Tom accidently broke) upon hearing the news this morning and then revised my physical Christmas card address list and dug out the cards with good intentions to start writing them out.

But I went to the store, read for awhile and tried to take a nap instead.

Petticoat rule in New Hampshire! Maggie Hassan (D) governor, Carol Shea-Porter (D) and Anne Kuster (D) overcame the incumbents in their district for the House of Representatives and they will join our Senators, Jean Shaheen (D) and Kelly Ayotte (R).
