Sorry, as usual with the wisdom of our resident querulous old biddies-- (of course I'm not talking about Richard and Michael--perish the thought)--- that's drivel.
I happen to have personal evidence. When I voted, it did not seem to register what I had entered on one candidate.
But:
1) If you had read the instructions, you could erase your vote and re-enter it. I did.
2) The category was School Board, not President. There is no way they would care who I voted for on the School Board--and there was no party assigned to the candidate. I had no problem voting for the President.
Yes, machines have glitches.
No, sorry, it does not necessarily mean the Evil GOP is sabotaging the electoral process--except in the giant brains of the conspiracy theory addicts Mudcat is graced with.
But far be it from me to try to shake them of their comfortable--if somewhat sloppy--mindset.
Maybe, as good folkies, they should listen to "For What It's Worth"--and perhaps learn something.
