I am posting this message a few days early. Mary Travers
from Peter, Paul & Mary would have been 76 years old on Friday,
November 09, 2012. Sadly, she passed away on Sept. 16, 2009 at the age of 72 due to complications from leukemia. She was diagnosed with this terrible disease in 2005 and had undergone chemotherapy.

Where do I even start - with how incredibly talented Mary was?
She was a part of Peter, Paul & Mary for so many, many decades and contributed her musical talents to the world - I absolutely loved their music and Mary's singing!

Was lucky to see them only one time in Los Angeles in a concert at the Universal Amphitheater during the late 1980's. Was even luckier to get a back stage pass from someone I knew at the time, who knew the group personally. I was amongst many, many others backstage after the concert - and did not get a chance to talk to Mary though, as there was so many people and her mgmt. backstage that were talking to her at the time. I remember walking past her (while she was talking to other people in the music industry) and was in awe of just seeing her. She was very, very tall against my small size in height. She looked so beautiful!

So just wanted to say that your music meant so much to me and may you rest in peace always. I know you must be singing with the angels.
