NC--yes, the same one which went for Obama in 2008.    Ingrained attitudes can be overcome--and NC is changing demographically.

And it is not at all clear this election was all about racism pure and simple--even though that is the dearly held and comfortably simple view of so many Mudcatters who don't seem to want to do any research--or think.

Obviously for some race played a role, but the GOP put up the ultimate fat cat and expected that ordinary workers would believe he would represent their interests. To put it mildly, that played a role too.
