it does seem odd that the bell was,nt rung penny.i used to be a multidrop driver years ago and i know that the job usually involves more work than can comfortably be done in a day.i never left a card without trying a neighbour as well if i got no answer ,and maybe thats why i was usually behind and often over my shift unpaid!.
that dont seem to account for your experience though.pete.
