With a bit of work (and being in a very uncomfortable position for someone whose knees are shot) I got one of the water shutoffs off. The other appears to be corroded and I can't get it to budge. Didn't immediately check which one it was, but it turned out to be the hot water. I'd THOUGHT the leak was cold... But it appears both the hot and cold taps in the tub are leaking. At least my turning off the one reduced the leak.

Tom can't remember the specifics of the shutoff he installed and says he needs to "see" it. Well, that might be a bit of a stretch for him, but he says if he can feel it, that might be as good. Still won't be easy; I think I'll bring my garden kneeler (with supports) up for him to attempt it. I think maybe WD-40 will do the trick. (Sure hope so.)

Little 3-drawer chest is up at the FREE sign -- hope someone takes it away quickly before they realize how much work has to be done on it. The drawer pulls are nice...
