I read this a paraphrase for " that darkie is going to take care of those n*ggers instead us deserving white folk"

and during slavery, while blacks where allowed some access to religion, they were not allowed to marry.... "jumping the broom" was as close as they could get.... after, slaves were bought & sold like cattle... which is what were- thinking livestock. so the reference to "his woman" is harkening back to that attitude.
