A few years back now, I went to a classical guitar recital. The guy did this amazing piece called "The Fall of the House of Usher" - at least I think that was the name, it could have been "The Masque of the Red Death", but it was definitely an Edgar Allen Poe title.I can't remember the tune exactly, but it had a great theme to it which repeated through the piece. It built up to a big crescendo, and then the theme started again, but this time played entirely in harmonics so it sounded like a music-box.
It blew me away completely, but I've never found anyone who knew it, and going back to the organiser a couple of years later, he couldn't remember it. Does this ring a bell for anyone here? and if so, do you know if anyone's recorded it?
Cheers,
Grab.
