Hey Guys I have been looking for this silly song for some time and stumbled across this thread. So my thanks as I play piano and do a lot of ww2 songs for vfw's and I know the guys will get a huge kick out of this. The words seems to fit the music I have heard in the movie Final Days Of Paten but the words are a tad different then the basic two verse style in the movie. I think I'll sort of combine the two versions for giggles.
My pop use to sing a lot of the war songs and he had a rather colourful version of Bless Em All which had little resemblance to the actual song words. I assume the GI's often made their own verses up to various songs of that period.
