"At break of day, as I went on my way..." came into my head this morning, and here I am. We sang it at school - can't remember if it was junior or senior school, but it must have been around or either side of 1960. I was around ten at the time and the schools were in Bromley, Kent (England).
The tune involves three notes for the word "sages": sa-a-ages. Needless to say, we changed "Eastern sa-a-ages" to "eating sausages". Far too witty for our own good...
