I haven't had a problem lately, but whenever a page seems stuck on "loading...", any page, I figure the problem is probably not the page itself, but the extra add-ons, like adverts, java-script bells & whistles, google-metrics kinds of things contacting external sites...

After 30 seconds or more, I just

        click on ("Stop loading this page"), then
        click on ("Reload the current page").

Usually brings the page right up. Whatever I'm missing, I don't miss.
