I just wanted to say a great big thanks to everyone who braved the elements and made the festival a really special occasion! From an entertainment singing (and hugs!) point of view one of the best ever!
A special thanks to those who stewarded - everyone was so flexible and willing to help with all the problems we had due to the weather, and to the performers who without hesitation just fitted in with last minute plans due to the floods and loss of a venue. Incidentally the Rugby Club access was totally clear Monday morning despite the fears that it would be impassable for a couple of days.
Despite the weather Sunday was just fantastic with stunning sessions in The Old Black Bank and The Arts Centre and brought the week-end to a fabulous finale.
Thanks to the dance side who formed a great spectacle dancing in waterproof panchos and umbrellas outside of the Civic Hall on Saturday, hope to get some of the pictures on the web site later this week (I'll put a link here when we do)
Pleased to see above that people had a great time, and got home safely.
The Mudgather gave Gill and myself a great escape (you could probably tell by the way Gill broke those poor chocolate teddy bears!) - Thanks so much to Noreen for a really nice session, sorry we couldn't stay for the end, but we had to go and prepare for our later submarine activities!
On the subject of the future of the festival, we have some ideas and some innovations that we are looking into and we will be emailing people individually later as I don't really think this forum is the appropriate medium, if anyone doesn't get our emails and wants to be kept informed drop us an email at mail@bedworth-festival.info and ask to join the mailing list and we will ensure you get all the updates.
