I haven't had a problem with people hijacking my threads to an extent that would kill them. When my threads die it's because they've lived out their natural lives.

Sometimes people get off topic on my threads, but it never seems to last long enough to cause problems.

I don't know why this is, but you can check out my posting history and see for yourself. This applies to serious threads that I have started. In the case of threads that I start in a humorous vein, I welcome hijacking if it makes the thread more fun.
