I do not believe the carpenters were Canadian.

What I find interesting is the music hotspots in Canada, (especially in Cape breton and Newfoundland, (that have Celtic-Irish traditional music roots).

What I also find encouraging is the broad influence that a few people have had on music - such as some of the names I brought up (Hawkins, Foster, Lanois).
