Take a walk on Seventh Ave in the forties and watch the women, mainly Asian, with small children heading off to work illegally in the garment center in NYC. It will take another tragedy to bring it to the front page - for a day or two.

I worked in a building on Eighth Ave and could see the illegals on the window sills whenever Immigration showed up.

Education and jobs will get the current workers out only to be replaced by the next wave of people willing to work long hours for minimal pay to provide a better life for their children. But we aren't willing to pay enough for clothing to make a living wage doable. Corporate greed is only part of the cause.
