Sorry, I'm a pedant, but Musket's comment has me flummoxed:

Unless you go around saying you massed yourself on the bathroom scales etc there is no need to be such an arse. A pedant has to be consistent in order to be credible. And then still not be invited to too many decent parties.

Why would anyone say they 'massed' themselves. Surely the word means "assembled in force". I don't understand how it is being used in the above example!
