I have been doing this song for about five years now, and I have done it as both a song and a item of prose, (Bob Shanes words when
introducing High Heeled Shoes on the same album), and I have to say I think it works better as a piece of prose. If you make the words rise and fall in a similar fashion as the tune chords don't seem to matter. You have to act it out alittle bit and be quite expressive, but I think it works.
