And why not? America and guns is like drivers and booze. I remember the outrage when it was suggested that laws should be passed oulawing drunk drivers. I can take my drink, it's those other wackheads... but the legislation wnt through, and in a remarkably short time drunk driving became socially unacceptable.

You could do the same with guns.. the mental cripples will whinge, but before too long society will shun them. They'll shoot off all their ammunition preparing for Armageddon, and by then even WalMart won't stock the stuff.

As for political parties, are there any in the US that embrace disarming psychopaths?
