There is no easy answer.
John, we have a 2nd amendment because of the way England treated the American colonists. Now, it takes 2/3rds majority of congress to amend the constitution, and that means 2/3rds of the politicians have to agree.The gun lobby has the gun owners scared shitless that they are going to lose their right to keep and pack heat and the politicians don't dare commit political suicide by voting against them. Their number one duty is to get elected and re elected. Whats good for the country is second on their list, if it appears there at all.

What we need is people control, attitude adjustment.
