I detest the thought of armed citizens walking around thinking they have the wherewithal in skill, training or knowledge to settle situations involving gun violence. And LaPierre is little short of being a shill for the gun industry. His NRA pay per year is about a million, but I still wonder if he gets gifts from arms manufacturers.

I don't know now many horrific incidents it will take to drive home the point that the more guns a society has the more killings will occur involving guns. Citizens with their guns didn't help the kids in the Connecticut school, and they sure didn't help the murderer's mom.
