I do realize she was nothing to do with folk music, but I'll bet there are numerous baby boomers on here who bopped along to "Rescue Me". She was at one time married to Lester Bowie, the jazz trumpeter and member of The Art Ensemble of Chicago. In fact, I saw show of his (TV) with Miss Bass on vocals.
