Thread Name: Lyr Req: Lullaby CD
Subject: Lyr Req: Lullaby CD
We are putting together a lullaby cd for traumatized children and the first run is almost ready..have to get it for a camp for abused girls in mid January and also someone is taking to orphanages in Nepal in early January. First batch also going to Guatamala, probably Mexico and Gaza..and to Sandy Hook and Sandy Hurricane children.

We have lots of songs, at least theoretically. At this point, I think we have enough except from some specific groups. One such group, as menitoned on another thread, would be Dalit (Untouchable) of India. Another is specifically Rosebud tribe of South Dakota. Another is Japanese..and I was supposed to have one from Japan for tsunami children but I think the person who is arranging it has become ill so I do not have that at this point. I also would like a Haitian one.

The ones who inspired this, the children of Beslan, Russia, are going to have to make do with a generic lullaby in English and French, translated by Robinia. it was politically too complicated..that whole situation..

So anyway, we will sell it for $15 as is and you will be able to copy it in however many copies you wish to give to an orphanage, school, foster children, give to prisons so parents can give to their visiting children, hospitals, refugee camps, natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy etc. At the present time, it will be just the music and not a fancy cover etc. There will be a few songs added later and a cover for the ones we sell but mostly they will be copied and wouldn't have liner notes etc.

I can listen to it for hours..I know which songs are missing so tht is sort of jarring to me but I think others might not see the blank spaces at this time. The main thing is to get it out and into the hands of any children (or adults( who need it....also you don't absolutely have to buy it for $15 but that will help cover expenses..we will try to find a way, computer download, or whatever, that people can get it copied.
