Regardless of the intent of the former legislation, the result of it expiring will cost consumers more. That's all I can bring to that story - though as I mentioned, there are problems with a domino effect of government subsidies to do with agriculture. I'd have to find the story I saw/heard to make the connections, but I am not sure where I heard it.
