I have just come upon this 'Mudcat' website by accident and the Whittlesea' thread caught my eye. I taught at Sir Harry's in the early eighties and for a while lived above the youth centre in Scaldgate, but I confess I don't remember the Straw Bear. I have now moved well away from the area and so almost certainly would not be able to attend, but it would be interesting to know details.
