No, the problem is that until we cut spending we can never tax enough to get out of debt.


The Senate did not cut spending- they increased taxes.
The Senate is controlled by Democrats.
The majority of House Republicans did NOT vote for the Senate bill- it was passed by the Democrats and a few Republicans who felt it was better than the "cliff".
