By the way, some of the best, most rational people I've ever known have been Christians....but NOT the stereotypical Religous Right Christians that so many people here imagine infesting their political anxiety closets. They've all been liberals and progressives, in fact. They've all related very well to science as well as to spiritual matters. They've all believed in evolution. They've all respected Gays and honored Gay rights. Maybe God does have the perfect match for you. ;-) Depends on how you define "God". And most people don't give that much thought, do they? The ones who do give it a lot of thought are those who think there's a great deal more to this life than mere survival, competition, money, and material advantage....that there is a beautiful meaning and purpose at the very heart of life, and the key to it all is Love. You must give it to receive it, and give it freely, with no calculation in mind on the possible return. That's the whole thing right there in a single sentence.
