In all things, ALWAYS GO TO MUDCAT FIRST!!! Nobody believes this but I keep trying to tell you, THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING NEW ON MUDCAT!!!

Geoducks are no different. Mentioned many times here, but probably first in this thread titled "Acres of Clams"......from 13 YEARS AGO!!! It starts with a different discussion but gets into the Geoducks with this post from the wonderful and sadly missed, Sandy Paton..

And for the record, I love shellfish.....any shellfish but scallops are at the top of my list. But I love clams in almost any configuration from steamed to soup to fried. Love mussells especially when cooked with recipe including garlic, shallots, tarragon, and a good white wine. Manhattan style clam chowder is a shameful waste of good clams. If I want a tomato based fish soup I make Cioppino.
