2012 was most memorable for me as the year that I retired from work.

I went to the Gainsborough Old Time Festival, the Yorkshire Gathering, Robin Hood's Bay folk weekend and Whitby Folk Week and thoroughly enjoyed them all. As the last 3 were after my retirement, I was able to arrive early to set up camp on the day the events started and stay over until the day after everything had finished so that I could pack up at my leisure.
