The time has flown! Good wishes for an easy visit, Michelle!

I made progress yesterday, the kitchen and dining areas are looking much better, the laundry is finished (but not folded), and I got rid of the inexpensive tub bathmats. The house has smelled funny since I replaced old Rubbermaid mats with clear PVC mats - they stink and that off gas isn't good for anyone. For about three times the cost I bought a new rubber one, and later I'll buy another (hopefully less expensive, but I was at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and that's what they had).

Bright day today, but still quite cold. Just as the warm dry fall wasn't typical (there are usually cooler days and some rain) this prolonged cold and mostly heavily overcast isn't typical either.

Next: paperwork and eBay work. There is always sticker shock after the holidays, and this year is no different. I have to organize my papers so I can do my income taxes soon. There should be a refund this year and it will go to pay bills, there is no other better use for it. Also today, I must research power companies. Every year I change and get a year's low rates. At the end of the year the rates go way up if I don't switch. It's a game we play in Texas.
