Linn, I would urge you to have some Quick Relief Powder handy. It really works instantly. The ER people had never heard of it even though I learned of it from their coumadin clinic! When I cut my finger, they were amazed at how strong the seal was and the lack of bleeding because I was able to get it on right after letting it bleed freely for a minute or so to clear out germs. They have an applicator for nosebleeds, too.

It's actally something everone should have on hand, imo. Best to you and Tom.
